Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good birthday gift Both my girls loved playing with the pottery wheel when they were second and third graders.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't waste your money! My granddaughter received this pottery wheel as a gift. The motor is so underpowered that it turns very slowly when there is no clay on it. When a small amount (1/4 package amount) was placed on the wheel and she started to try to shape it, the wheel sopped completely. A huge disappointment! I wish that I could give this piece of junk a zero review, the only thing that saved this experience was we used the clay to make a pot by rolling It in snakes and making a coil pot. Don't waste your money!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The wheel didn't have a strong enough turn This product didn't have a strong enough turn so my son could make the pottery.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality My granddaughter received this as a gift. After 10 minutes she was frustrated and bored. The motor wasn't strong enough to turn the wheel if you had your hands on the clay at all. After she gave up, three adults tried it with the same frustration. We even tried softening the clay by adding more water to no avail. We finally hand sculpted some tea cups so she could have something to paint and everything else went in the trash! Don't waste your money! Complete DUD!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful This product is very bad. The motor is too underpowered to ever make a pot. Also the wheel is woobly and attached so poorly that you would never get your clay centered even if the mother didn't stop when you put any pressure on it. This is a toy to make children hate pottery. It ought to be taken off the market. Ours had a ripped bag of totally dry clay, spilled paint that got all over the wheel. Straight to the garbage.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My 7 year old step daughter received this as a gift. It was very fun to use. It is messy, so make sure you cover your work area, but that's the fun! She had a blast making a vase for me. I made one for her afterwards. It's not professional, so don't have an expectation that the creation will be akin to high school art class. It's meant to have fun and be creative. It came right off the plastic platform, so we had no troubles with it falling apart. My only con is I wish it came with more clay. After making those 2 vases, we are out.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from A waste If I had purchased this at full price, I would take it back to the store. As a mom with zero experience making pottery, I didn't expect anything fabulous. However, the instructions provided are terrible, contradictory, and incomplete. The tools are not labeled. There are no instructions on using the tool rest. We have made 2 attempts to remove her pot from the wheel using the given instructions, and both times the pot was completely ruined. My daughter is enjoying getting her hands dirty and molding the clay, which is the only reason I rated it with 2 stars.
