- Pressboard Journal – Blank
- Cardboard (Such as a Cereal Box)
- Scissors
- Acrylic Paint – Colors of Choice (3)
- Paintbrush
- Craft Sticks
- Toothpicks
- Straight Pin
- Wax Paper
- Rhinestones (Optional)
- Glitter (Optional)
Project Instructions
Step 1 Remove covers from journal. Paint with acrylic paint. Set aside to dry. Cut cardboard to desired shapes and sizes.
Step 2 Pour three puddles of Aleene's® Original Tacky Glue(R) on wax paper. Squeeze acrylic paint into each glue puddle.
Step 3 Stir together with craft stick.
Step 4 Place cardboard onto wax paper. Use craft stick to pick up background color and spread onto cardboard.
Step 5 Dip toothpick into next color and drizzle over base color. Repeat with each color.
Step 6 To create marbleized effect, use pin to draw through drizzled lines of paint. Set piece aside on clean piece of wax paper. Repeat to color each piece of cardboard. Let dry overnight. For a glossy finish, spray with sealer. Glue onto journal cover in a mosaic pattern.
