  • Aleene's® Fabric Fusion® Peel & Stick Tape
  • T-shirt
  • Beaded Trim 3" (Optional)
  • Tulip® Fabric Paint - Pink and Green Pearl
  • Scissors
  • Paintbrush
  • Disappearing Pen (or Pencil)
  • Pin Back or Barrette (Optional)

Project Instructions

Cut out a circle from a piece of the T-shirt material. The bigger the circle the bigger the flower. Draw a spiral inside the circle with disappearing pen (or lightly with pencil).

Cut along pattern line.

The strip of fabric will be slightly wavy and will want to curl. Lay it out flat on table.

Lay Aleene's® Fabric Fusion® Peel & Stick Tape onto table, sticky side up. (Use your scissors to help hold roll in place.) Press strip of fabric into adhesive.

Working 6" sections at a time, pull back paper.

Begin rolling from end, continuing to pull back paper to reveal adhesive. Continue to roll until entire strip is rolled into flower. It is okay if the fabric gathers and bunches in different areas.

Place flower face down on work surface. Measure and cut circle slightly larger than flower. Draw spiral inside the circle and cut along pattern line. Apply tape to strip.

If needed, cut excess fabric cone from back of flower to create flat surface.

Apply fabric strip to back of flower.

Turn flower over and fluff up petals.

Cut rectangle for leaf.

Fold rectangle in half.

Find center and fold one end over.

Fold other end over (you should now have a triangle shape).

Cut and apply strip of tape towards bottom edge.

Fold over both sides to create leaf shape.

Cut and apply strip of tape on bottom edge of front of leaf and glue to back of flower.

To color flower, thin fabric paint with water and lightly brush over flower. Repeat for leaf.

Cut and apply strip of tape to trim. Glue on back of flower so that you can see trim from front of flower. If desired, glue pin back or barrette to back of flower.
