Project Instructions

Sand plaque well and brush with tack cloth to remove dust. Apply Multi-Purpose Sealer to plaque. Allow to dry thoroughly. Lightly sand again, and tack to remove dust.

Transfer pattern (download button below) to plaque front.

Base coat edges of plaque Poodleskirt Pink.

Base coat top, bottom edge, and back of plaque Burnt Umber.

Apply Poodleskirt Pink dots to top of plaque. Allow to dry thoroughly.

Base coat bunny’s head, ears, hair, and paws, and daffodils Snow White.

Base coat bunny’s head, ears, hair, and paws Buttermilk.

Base coat daffodils Pineapple.

Base coat two tulips Purple Cow and two tulips Poodleskirt Pink.

Base coat leaves and stems Foliage Green.

Float Fawn to shade bunny’s face, ears, paws, behind hair, inside ears, around eyes, nose, mouth, teeth, underneath eyebrows and whiskers, and muzzle.

Stipple entire bunny and paws Snow White, allowing stippling to go slightly over edges onto Burnt Umber (to give bunny soft and fuzzy look). With Snow White, stipple center and top of tulips and daffodils.

Stipple over bunny with Buttermilk to add slight texture.

Stipple Fawn over bunny lightly, then a little more strongly over shaded areas. Lightly re-float over shaded areas to define shading.

Using Burnt Umber and “sheet float” technique, deepen shading on bunny. Also float around patches on ears and under and around hair on bunny’s head.

Base coat patch on bunny’s left ear Poodleskirt Pink. Softly dry brush color on cheeks, randomly on ears and paws, and inside ears.

Base coat patch on bunny’s right ear Purple Cow.

Base coat eyes and teeth Snow White. Dry brush center of Poodleskirt Pink and Purple Cow patches with Snow White.

Float iris in eyes with Burnt Umber.

Float Bubblegum Pink to shade around Poodleskirt Pink patch and tulips. Very lightly dry brush over Poodleskirt Pink areas on cheeks, ears, and paws.

Float Purple Wave to shade Purple Cow patch and tulips. With Purple Wave outline pattern in Poodleskirt Pink patch.

With 1:1 mix of Cadmium Yellow and Pineapple, shade daffodils and outline pattern in Poodleskirt Pink patch.

Deepen shading on daffodils with Cadmium Yellow.

Float Pineapple to highlight leaves and stems.

Float Hauser Medium Green to shade leaves and stems.

Outline pattern in Purple Cow patch with Foliage Green.

Using sheer float technique and Purple Cow, apply reflective color to Poodleskirt Pink tulips and on stems and leaves.

Using sheer float technique and Poodleskirt Pink, apply reflective color to Purple Cow tulips, daffodils, leaves, and stems.

With mix of equal parts of Lamp Black and Burnt Umber; base coat iris in eyes; stroke eyebrows and whiskers; dot base of whiskers; and outline everything.

Stroke Snow White highlights on hair, nose, ears, flowers, and leaves. Dot eyes.

Apply two coats of DuraClear Satin Varnish, drying thoroughly between applications.


Always clean brushes after painting.

Allow project to dry between steps.
