Amy Labbe Bracelet
Amy Labbe designs the Art-i-Cake by Amy Labbe line carried at Michaels. She graduated from KU with degree in Journalism and Art. Amy lives in small town America with her husband, three children, and two chocolate labs. She says, “This art mixes my loves; old ephemera, my collection of heritage photos, antiques, painting, collaging, my obsession with jewelry, and brassy personality all into one awesome form of art. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!”
“I was reading a blog recently…. I thought it was quite humorous. It was taking a poll on “What is the most important quality in a beauty queen? 1. Physical Beauty? 2. Sex Appeal? 3. Intelligence/Wisdom? 4. Self-Confidence? 5. Humility?” NONE OF THE ABOVE. It’s the JEWELRY! Take the Dutchess of York….Not going to win Miss America but her jewelry ROCKED! My mother says I have always been fascinated by Queens and Crowns. She still has the picture I drew with crayons at 3 years old. It is of a queen smoking a cigarette! She should have guessed at that point I was going to be a mess! (a fun one though). So I guess you could say my inspiration was…..the crown jewels! If the tiara fits... wear it.”

- Bead Landing™ Night and Day™ Pearl and Black Beads
- ART-I-CAKE Chain
- Assorted Charms
Make a bracelet from the silver Art-i-cake oval link chain, by removing the oval toggle, doubling up and secure with jump ring. Remove links to size to fit your wrist. Re-attach silver toggle ring with jump ring.
Drill holes through the Tim Holtz wings, and crown. Attach crown to center of chain, and wings to each side.
Make more pearl drops with your Bead Landing™ Pearl Bucket. While your doing your pearl drops, use your bead landing night and day collection beads and make them into drops as well using head pins to make wire loops at top of the drops.
Using your scrap chain, and left over goodies, fill that baby up. The more the merrier. Attach your charms to both chains so that it is nice and full. It’s kind of like cooking. If you think it needs more pearl to spice it up…..add some more. Remember your wrist fans out the charms so it looks less full when you actually put on your wrist. This is a great way to use up your left-overs! You can always make a matching bracelet when you have remaining goodies after you finish a project.
That’s it, you’re finished, and I dub thee, Royal Duchess of the Kingdom of Adornment.
