Project Instructions

For Hole X
8" Chain A
10½" Chain B
7½" Chain C
11" Chain D
12" Chain E

Use the following items from the materials to add pendants to chain C:
Five head pins, ten filigree, five rondelles 9x12mm, five bicones 6mm.

For Chain C

Step 1 Place a small filigree round onto head pin, followed by rondelle, filigree and bicone.

Step 2 Start a wire loop above the bead, using chain nose and round nose pliers.

Step 3 Place open loop around center link of Chain C (round circles) and finish wrap to attach to chain.

Step 4 Skip over a link to the right and repeat Steps 1-3 to attach next pendant.

Step 5 Skip over another link to the right and add another.

Step 6 Repeat for left side.

Step 7 Open jump ring using two pairs of chain nose pliers.

Step 8 Thread the end of chain links onto the open jump ring.

Step 9 Insert the jump ring into inside, bottom hole of pendant (the 5 or 7 o'clock position).

Step 10 Close the jump ring using two pairs of chain nose pliers.

Step 11 Repeat for other side.

Use side cutters to cut Chain A, E and D listed in the materials to the following lengths:
For Hole Y use
12" of Chain A
13" of Chain E
15" of Chain D

For Chain E

Step 1 Attach nine 6mm round faceted beads from the list of materials to the chain, using wire wrapped loops. They will alternate every other large link. The two large links closest to Hole Y on either side will be left empty.

Step 2 Thread the end of the chain links onto jump ring and insert in Hole Y (6 o'clock).

Use side cutters to cut Chain B and E from the list of materials to the following lengths:
For Hole Z use
13" of Chain B
17" of Chain B
14" of Chain E

Step 1 Open two jump rings using two pairs of chain nose pliers.

Step 2 Thread one end of each of the chains onto jump ring.

Step 3 Attach these to Hole Z and close jump rings using 2 pairs of chain nose pliers.

For the Bails

Step 1 Use approximately 5" (nine circles) of Chain C (use more or less to adjust the length of the necklace).

Step 2 Carefully open connecting link between the last circle you will use and the next (on the side away from the piece you will be using) with two pairs of chain nose pliers.

Step 3 Remove the excess and save for other side.

Step 4 Fold the link around the bail of pendant.

Step 5 Repeat on other side.

Step 6 Attach toggle or closure of your choice to the last ring of your chain.

Tips

You should know how to wire wrap a loop to make this necklace. You will be using 2 pendants, and chains will be attached in a mirror image to the bottom 3 holes (opposite the bail). The inside hole will be known as X, the middle as Y and the outer as Z.
