- Stiff Thin Cording (Jute or Waxed Cording)

Project Instructions
Cut a length of cording the length of the spine of a book plus an additional 12".
Tie a several knots in the string so that they are large and strong. Tie the knot approximately 5" up from one end of the string.
Place a Lampwork bead of your choice onto the string. Tie another knot in the string after the Lampwork bead. After each bead is placed onto the string, tie a knot.
Measure the string from the knot to the other end of the string and mark where the end of the book spine would fall. Tie several knots at this place, so they stack and form one large knot.
Add beads and tie a knot after each one. Trim any excess string so that the bead ends are even.
