Step 1 Cut six gold chains to the following lengths: two at ½" length, two at ¾" length and two at 1" length. Cut 26ga wire at 8" length and set aside.
Step 2 Place one gold square metal blank on the steel bench block, hold the metal blank with the long nose pliers and create texture using the ball peen end of hammer.
Step 3 Take one silver square blank and create a hole on the center-most top side of square and another hole on the center-most bottom side of square using a steel hole punch.
Step 4 Create the following holes on the textured square from Step 2 using a steel hole punch. The square side will be referred to as top, bottom, left and right.
A. One hole on the center-most top side of square.
B. One hole on the center-most bottom side of square.
C. Four holes on the center left side of square.
D. Three holes on the center right side of square.
Step 5 Wrap the 8" 26ga wire between the 4-hole and 3-hole side of textured square going from topmost to bottom-most hole, until all the holes have been wrapped with wire. Cut excess wire and flatten end of cut wire with the flat nose pliers.
Step 6 Select a medium size silver jump ring from assortment and open. Working from the top side holes: insert silver square from Step 3 and the now wired textured square from Step 5. Close jump ring.
Step 7 Select a medium size silver jump ring from assortment and open. Working from the bottom side holes: insert silver-tone square from Step 3 and the now wired textured square from Step 5. Then insert right ends of all six cut chains from Step 1. Close jump ring.
Step 8 Connect one ear wire hook to the top side of earring using one jump ring.
Step 9 Repeat Steps 1-8 to complete earring pair.
