Project Instructions

Remove beads from two strands each of purple acrylic flowers and purple/pink acrylic faceted beads, and examine the sizes and holes of each.

On a silver head pin, place a small round silver bead and two large acrylic flower pieces finished with a simple loop to create a focal compound flower as shown at center of necklace.

Make four additional compound flowers as step above using smaller acrylic flower components and set on bead board at approximately the 3" and 6" mark on each side.

Make 14 single flowers on silver headpins with round silver beads in their centers, finishing each with a simple loop.

Distribute the flowers from Step 4 on your bead board as shown in photo, generally placing the larger flowers toward the center and the smaller ones toward the ends on each side to balance.

Make four flowers with a small faceted acrylic bead held in the center of a bell shaped flower using a silver eye pin or the wrapped wire loop method to put them together.

Place flowers from step 6 on bead board at approximately the 1½" and 4" positions on either side.

Place 17 leaves on silver oval jump rings and distribute them on the bead board between flowers as shown.

Place seven faceted acrylic beads on either jump rings or wrapped loops depending on their individual holes or acrylic top loops and distribute evenly around the bead board as shown.

Cut a segment of medium silver chain 25" long.

Starting at center of chain place the loop end of each flower or bead unit on the chain link and close loops with round nose pliers.

Continue adding flowers, leaves and beads by balancing size and colors on left and right sides of necklace skipping a chain link or two between units as needed for pieces to hang comfortably.

Determine the desired finished length of the necklace between 21" and 25" and attach silver clasp with jump rings.

Finished necklace should look full and lush but not overcrowded and have adequate empty chain left at ends to go around the back of the neck.

Finished length is approximately 25".

Tips

To begin designing your necklace, arrange your pieces on a bead board, starting from the center and moving outward. Once you've achieved your desired pattern, begin adding the pieces to necklace chain. You can always move pieces around if needed.
