Project Instructions
Cut one chenille stem in half. Thread a large bead onto the chenille stem. Center the bead on the chenille stem. Place the bead where desired on the crown of the hat and push the ends of the chenille stem through the weave.
Working from the inside of the hat, twist the ends of the chenille stem together to secure the bead in place.
Use the scissors to trim stem, leaving the ends long enough to press flat so that they do not come into contact with the forehead.
Cut another chenille stem in half, thread on the desired bead and place where desired next to the large bead. Push ends thru weave of hat and secure in back, trim excess stem.
Refer to the photo for placement of your beads using pieces of chenille stem to secure the beads in place each time. Repeat as many times as needed to create the desired pattern.
Cut a circle of felt large enough to cover the stem ends and secure inside the hat with a small amount of glue. Let dry completely before wearing.
