The Chancery Italic Hand From the Florentine school, Italic letters are basically elliptical or slanted rather than round and vertical to the line of writing, allowing a freer, more flowing style. The Uncial Hand The uncial alphabet is also known as a unifon or majuscule alphabet, having no distinct upper and lower case but on uniformly-sized set of characters.
