Instructions for T-Shirt
Prewash T-shirts to remove sizing, using no fabric softener.
Refer to project in Generation T, pg. 114-115. Turn black shirt inside out and lay flat on work surface. Cut off sleeves just inside seams. Cut out neck just below seam line.
On green shirt, use a ruler and chalk to mark an even number of 1-inch wide strips for fringe starting under arm and down. Cut out sleeves and neck as on black shirt.
Pair off each of dangling strips and tie loosely in double knots. Rotate shirt around torso as you go.
When you get back to first knot, take one of its dangling strips and one from second knot and tie together. Continue around shirt until an entire second row of knots has been made.
Place green shirt over black shirt. Line up shoulder seams and glue. Glue necklines together making sure to not glue neck hole shut.
Lift up green shirt so you can see black. Squeeze out paint on foil. Dip paintbrush in Holiday Green paint. Freehand draw eyes randomly on black shirt. Refer to photo. Make Lime ovals in middle of each eye. Make a small black circle in middle of Lime area. Outline eyes with Ebony. Refer to photo. Let dry.
Place Crystals around edge of green collar and randomly over green shirt. Press tip of heat tool on top of Crystal and press for 6 to 8 seconds. Continue with all Crystals. Apply one Crystal in middle of each eye.
Wait 72 hours to wash. Machine wash warm on gentle cycle. Do not use harsh detergents or bleach. Remove promptly and line dry. To iron, turn garment inside out, being careful not to touch design with iron.
