Project Instructions

Cut 14" piece of Beadalon® 20 ga. wire.

Slide one end of the wire through holes on right side of metal slider.

Repeat with opposite side.

Slide over mandrel and pull evenly until the hole closes to the ring size of your choice.

Hold slider over your size and wrap wire around mandrel three times, keeping slider in center.

Wrap each wire tightly around the slider.

Take one of the wires and tuck through the center of the ring and around the shank. Wrap around shank again two more times, (leaving a small space between). Trim and tamp down with Beadalon® chain nose pliers.

Repeat with opposite side.

Cut 24" piece of Beadalon® 24 ga. wire.

Fold 24 ga. wire in half by bending in center.

Slide the 24 ga. wire over the bottom of the ring, (over the center).

Working one side at a time, begin wrapping the 24 ga. wire around the bottom of the ring by using a sewing motion. Each wrap should be tight. Leave a small space between wires to expose hematite color. Also, be careful to keep all the wires underneath flat and avoid overlapping.

Continue toward top of ring. You should begin to see a stripe effect.

Once you have reached the top of the ring, find a small opening in the wire that wraps around the slider and sew wire around it 2-3 times. This will secure the 24 ga. wire.

Trim excess wire and tuck in wire end.

Repeat with opposite side.

Place ring back on mandrel and gently hammer the wrapping. This will harden the wire, flatten the wraps and give your ring a neat appearance
