Blooming Floral Canvas
- Mod Podge- Fabric
- Large Canvas - At Least 16” x 20”
- Assorted Quilting Squares -Sky Blue, Pink, Light Green, Dark Green, Orange and Yellow
- Paper for Templates
- Craft Glue
- Double-Stick Tape
Coat the backs of the fabrics to be used for the flowers with Mod Podge and let them dry.
Cut various sized flower shapes from the paper; you will use these for the templates. You can use any paper - it just needs to be sturdy enough to withstand a few cuttings.
Apply these templates to the fabric (use the double-stick tape to hold) and cut the flower shapes out of the fabric with scissors.
Choose and layer the flower shapes. Glue these together with the craft glue. Choose buttons to embellish the centers of the flowers, and glue to the centers using the craft glue.
Coat the top portion of the canvas with Mod Podge; press the sky blue fabric to the canvas.
Cut the grass portion from the green fabric; adhere it to the canvas using Mod Podge. Place the flowers all over the canvas. After deciding where you want flowers to "grow," create stems from light and dark green fabrics. Adhere the stems and then the flowers using Mod Podge. Lastly, add a few more stems and glue button buds on them.
After all elements are in place, coat the entire canvas with a thin coat of Mod Podge to seal it all down. Allow to dry for 24 hours before hanging.
