Project Instructions

Step 1 Cut all wires to size.

Step 2 Using Beadalon® chain nose pliers take 26 ga. wire and make hook about ¼ inch.

Step 3 Keeping 20 ga. wire in center, line up two 22 ga. wires on either side.

Step 4 Use ruler to find center of wire. Place 26 ga. hook around the center and begin to make 15 tight wraps. NOTE: All wraps should be tight and touching. Trim 26 ga. wire.

Step 5 Make another hook on end of 26 ga. wire.

Step 6 Approximately 1" from the center repeat Step 4. NOTE: All wraps should start and stop on same side of the wire. You now have two wraps.

Step 7 Repeat on opposite side. You should have three separate wraps.

Step 8 Position center wrap at bottom of cabochon and begin to shape wire around the stone.

NOTE: When shaping wire, be sure to keep 20 ga. wire in center and other wires flat.

Step 9 Make hook on 26 ga. wire.

Step 10 Once you have shaped your wires, hook 26 ga. around top where they meet. Make five tight wraps, working closest to pendant and up the wire.

NOTE: DO NOT TRIM THE 26 ga. WIRE.

Step 11 Separate wires, leaving the two 20 ga. wires straight up. Each side should have four 22 ga. wires.

Step 12 Using Beadalon(R) bale tool, wrap two 20 ga. wires around top to shape your pendant bale.

Step 13 Using Beadalon® chain nose pliers, bend wires up, just behind the 26 ga. wraps.

Step 14 Take excess 26 ga. wire and wrap it around the bale wire where the wires are bent up (approximately eight times). This will secure your bale.

Step 15 Trim excess 26 ga. and 20 ga. wires. NOTE: The side where you cut your 20 ga. wire is the back of the pendant.

Step 16 Lay pendant on its front.

Step 17 Using Beadalon® chain nose pliers, begin to pull 22 ga. wires toward center. Start with outside wires, the pull next level. Repeat this step between each bound section.

Step 18 Pop heart cabochon into place and repeat Step 17 on front of pendant.

Step 19 At top of pendant, pull front two 22 ga. wires downward.

Step 20 Feed ends through the charm and slide it toward the top.

Step 21 Wrap two wires around the loop of the charm, securing it into place.

Step 22 Tuck excess wire.

Step 23 Slide three wires on the right side downward.

Step 24 Using Beadalon® round nose pliers make small loop on end of one of the wires pulled downward.

Step 25 Using Beadalon® chain nose pliers, begin to make a swirl with the wire.

Step 26 Repeat with all three wires.

Step 27 Repeat Steps 24-26 with remaining wires on left of pendant.

Step 28 Position swirls to achieve the look you desire. Shown with swirls circling the charm.

Step 29 Run hand over ends to ensure there are no sharp edges. If there are, use round nose pliers to tuck them in.
