Project Instructions

Step: 1

Ink all paper edges.

Step: 2

Cut patterned paper into an 8 ½ -inch square. Adhere to a sheet of 12x12 black cardstock. Add a 4x6 photo. (Mat on white cardstock if desired.)

Step: 3

Using an edge punch and coordinating sheet of 12x12 paper, punch one edge of the paper. Trim off edging and slide under the photo so just the punched design is showing. Trim to fit. Repeat until all sides of photo are matted with punch-edged paper.

Step: 4

Layer flowers as shown. (Use a foiled flower on every other layer for extra impact!) Tuck leaves under flower arrangements. Adhere. Add crystal centers.

Step: 5

Create journaling rectangle out of paper (6x2). Mat on coordinating paper (6 ½ x 2 ½). Adhere on layout just under the photo mat. Add journaling.

Step: 6

(If you wish to print your journaling directly on the patterned paper use this trick: print journaling on plain sheet of 8 ½ x 11 paper. (Adjust margins to fit inside your patterned paper: 5 ½ x 1½ ) Adhere piece of patterned paper directly OVER the just-printed plain paper with temporary adhesive. Print again EXACTLY like you did on the plain paper. This time it will print directly on the patterned paper and be perfectly centered!)

Step: 7

Ink chipboard letters with brown ink. Adhere to layout slightly overlapping photo and journaling mat.

Step: 8

Tuck a leaf under the first letter and add a flower gem on top of the letter.
