Project Instructions

Cut approximately 5' of embroidery floss. There are six strands on the floss. Separate the six strands into two groups of three strands each. The floss has to go through the beads twice.

About one foot into the floss, tie a series of overhand knots to make a knot that will trap the beads.

Put the floss onto the beading needle. String one 14mm turquoise round. Go back through the hole in the same direction with the floss. This will put the floss on the outside of the bead. Make sure that it is flush with the knot. Thread the needle through the hole a second time, pulling the thread to the outer edge of the bead. Pass the needle through the hole one more time. String one 10mm rock crystal matte round bead. Repeat six more times, making sure to do a random color pattern.

End with weaving the floss through one last 14mm turquoise round. Tie a series of overhand knots, using a head pin to make sure that the knot is snug against the turquoise bead. Set aside.

Repeat with the other strand of floss with the following pattern: 6mm crackle rock crystal, one floss-wrapped 12mm turquoise round. Repeat nine more times. End with one 6mm crackle rock crystal bead. Tie a series of overhand knots to secure.

On the outer, larger strand, string (57) black hematite beads. On the inner, smaller strand, string (53) black hematite beads.

Tie these two ends to the toggle bar using a series of knots. Secure with a dab of G-S Hypo Cement.

Using the beading needle, tightly wrap the wire knot ring with the floss, knotting with multiple overhand knots to tie tightly. Repeat with the other strand. Secure the knots with a dot of G-S Hypo Cement glue.
