  • DCWV® Paper Stack, 12"x12" - Great Vacation
  • Template Printed from michaels.com
  • Acrylic Craft Paint – Medium Gray and Ivory
  • Foam Brush, 1"
  • ArtMinds™ Decoupage Glue
  • Low Heat Glue Gun (Adult Use Only)
  • Bead Landing™ Charms – Bugs
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • Ruler

Project Instructions

Take the hardware off of the box. Paint the outside with gray craft paint and the inside with ivory craft paint. Let dry.

Measure the outside faces of the box (not the top or the bottom) and cut corresponding pieces of printed paper. Adhere with decoupage glue and let dry.

While your glue is drying, print out the DCWV® template from michaels.com. Cut this out and trace onto the back of your desired print. Cut out.

Once the decoupage glue is dry, put the hardware back on. Glue the leaf shape on top of the box, and add one of your bug charms.

Note: break off the eye of the jewelry piece before adhering it to the box.


Pinch each loop as you braid so that the paper will not rip or tear.
