Burlap Flower Wreath
- FloraCraft® Foam Wreath, 16" – White
- Burlap Garland
- Spray Paint – Pink, Purple, Cranberry and Green
- Felt Embellishments – Flower
- Low Heat Glue Gun
Step 1 Gather the end of the burlap garland together so that it’s about 3" wide and glue it in place at the back of the wreath. Begin wrapping the gathered garland around the wreath to completely cover. Glue the end at the back of the wreath where you stop.
Step 2 To make the flower petals, cut the 6" wide garland into 1.5" strips. Cut four strips for each flower. And five strips for the leaves. Fold each strip in half and use your scissors to round the four corners of each square. When you unfold the strip you should have an hourglass shape. At the center of the hourglass, fold the edges of burlap in towards the middle and glue in place. This will give a contour shape to the petals. Spray paint four petals in each of the three other colors and five of the petals green. Lay flat to dry.
Step 3 Stack the petals on top of each other to create the flowers. Pin and glue the flowers in place on the wreath. Fold the leaves at the center so that both rounded ends are side by side and pin in place to fill in around the flowers as shown. Glue the felt flower embellishments to the centers of the burlap flowers.
Step 4 To make the hanger, cut a 24" piece of burlap. Loop the strip through the top of the wreath and bring the ends together. Pull a thread from one of the cut ends of burlap to use as a tie for the top of the hanger. Fold the ends of the burlap back to create a small loop and tie the loop in place with the burlap thread.
