Project Instructions

Step: 1

Cut a 4-inch x 11-inch rectangle from Dusk cardstock. Fold it in half to form a top-folding card. Round the top corners of the card.

Step: 2

Cut a 3 7/8-inch x 5¼-inch rectangle from African Daisy cardstock. Round the top corners and trim the bottom edge with wavy-edged scissors.

Step: 3

Cut a 3 5/8-inch x 5-inch rectangle from white cardstock. Round the top corners and trim the bottom edge with wavy-edged scissors.

Step: 4

Randomly stamp the tree image on the white cardstock with canary ink. Attach gems along the bottom edge. Glue the white piece to the African Daisy piece. Then wrap a piece of ribbon around the rectangles near the bottom and secure the ends on the back. Cut another small piece of ribbon and knot it around the first piece. Glue the entire assembly to the card base.

Step: 5

Stamp the butterfly image on white cardstock with black ink and emboss it. Using chalk applicators, tint the image with canary ink and accent with yellow glitter glue. Cut out the image and glue the butterfly body to the card. Bend the wings up slightly for a dimensional effect.
