Project Instructions
Casting On:
Begin by casting on 21 stitches.
Row 1(RS): Slip the first stitch, *P1, K1* to end.
Row 2 (WS): Slip the first stitch, *K1, P1* to end.
Begin Slipped Stitch Pattern:
Row 1: Slip the first stitch kwise, *P1, Sl1 kwise* to last st, k1.”
Row 2: Slip the first stitch kwise, *K1, P1* to end.
Continue in Slipped Stitch pattern for 65 rows, or until cowl measures 17" from cast on row, ending ready to start a RS row.
Buttonholes:
Row 1 (RS): Slip the first stitch kwise, P1, K1, P1, yo, *(P1, K1) twice, P1, yo* repeat until 2 stitches remain, yo, K1, P1 to create 4 buttonholes total.
Row 2 (WS): Slip the first stitch kwise, *K1, P1* to end.
Cast off and weave in your ends. Sew the buttons evenly spaced on the cast-on edge to match up with the button holes on the cast-off edge.
