Project Instructions

Paint wood pieces as shown in photo.

Refer to photo, then assemble soldier as follows: Place one square face down on a flat surface, then with front side facing up, glue two red rectangles at each side of the square and the gold ones at the bottom.

Glue the heart at the top.

Glue the second square with the front facing up over the top.

Glue the small at the center of the heart touching the top of the square and a white teardrop at each side.

Glue the white heart at the top of the square, slightly overlapping the nose and mustache.

Glue a small oval at each side of the top of the square, overlapping the top of the arms and two small, gold circles at the front.

Glue the small flesh tone circles at the bottom of each arm for hands, and a black heart at the bottom of each leg for boots.

Glue the mini stick across the bottom of the black square then glue to the top of the head. Glue the star to the front of the hat.

Use the end of a paint brush handle dipped in black paint to make dots for eyes. Let dry, then add a white dot to each eye and the nose.

To make the staff, glue a circle at the top of the skinny stick and an oval below. Repeat on the other side.

Glue the base of the staff to the soldier.

Optional: Glue a no-roll clothespin at the back of the soldier. When the ends are placed in a doll pin stand your soldier will stand on a flat surface.

Use the emery board to sand the wood pieces. Paint the edges of the wood pieces first then place on wax paper. Paint both sides of each piece before assembling.
