Project Instructions
Wrap measures 14-inches wide by 61-inches long
In Stockinette stitch, 16 sts and 22 rows = 4-inches/10cm
C6B (right-slanting cable): Slip next 3 sts to cn, hold to back, k3, k3 from cn
C6F (left-slanting cable): Slip next 3 sts to cn, hold to front, k3, k3 from cn
STITCHES USED
Stockinette stitch (St st): Knit on RS, purl on WS. Single crochet (sc)
Row 1 (RS): P1, k3, C6F, p1.
Row 2 and all WS rows: K1, p9, k1.
Rows 3, 5, 9 and 11: P1, k9, p1.
Row 7: P1, C6B, k3, p1.
Row 12: Repeat Row 2.
Repeat Rows 1 - 12 for Cable patt.
WRAP
Cast on 55 sts.
Foundation Row: (RS) K7, * [p1, k9, p1] for cable, k4; repeat from * 2 times, end k3.
Rows 2 - 6: Knit the knit sts and purl the purl sts as they face you.
Row 7: K7, * work Row 7 of Cable patt across next 11 sts, k4; repeat from * across, end k3.
Continue as established, working Rows 8 - 12 of Cable patt, then repeat Rows 1 - 12 of Cable patt for remainder of piece, keeping 4 sts in St st between Cables. Work even until piece measures 60-inches from beg, end Row 1 or 7 of Cable patt. Work 6 rows as established, but do not turn the Cable on the sixth row.
Bind off all sts loosely in pattern.
FINISHING
Weave in ends.
Edging: Work 1 round in sc evenly around wrap, working 3 sc in each corner. Work 3 more rounds sc, alternately working in the back loop only and the front loop only of every st, working 3 sc in each corner st. Fasten off.
