- Plaid® Craft Smart™ Acrylic Paint, White
- Plaid® Craft Smart™ Acrylic Paint, Bright Red
- Unfinished Wood Serving Tray, Large
- Twisted Poly Rope, White
- Brush, Small Flat
- Brush, Medium Flat
- Masking Tape
- Ruler
- Pencil
- Transfer Paper
- Hot Glue Gun, Glue Sticks
Project Instructions
Step: 1
Paint tray White. Measure and transfer leaf pattern in center of tray and paint Bright Red.
Step: 2
Tape off side sections of flag and paint Bright Red. Tape off stripe around outside edge of tray, about 1-inch wide, and paint Bright Red. Let tray dry.
Step: 3
Hot glue rope embellishment to outside stripe.
Tips
If you are using a dark transfer paper to transfer a pattern onto a white basecoat, trace lightly with your pencil or stylus. A light image is easy to see on a white background and much easier to cover with top coat paint.
