Project Instructions

Cut two strips measuring 2"x12" from your desired print.

Beginning at one side, score each strip every ½" along the 12" side until you reach the end.

Fold the strips back and forth (accordion style). *Note: Be sure to fold the second strip opposite of the first (meaning, if you started by folding down on the first one, fold the second strip back so that when the two strips are adhered together, it will make one continuous accordion fold). Using hot glue, adhere two of the ends together, with both prints facing the same direction. Adhere the remaining two ends together, forming a cylinder.

Before forming the flower, punch out two coordinating circles using the 1½" circle punch. Lay these next to you.

Put your cylinder on the table in front of you. Gently push out the top edges until they are flush against the table. Play with the paper until you create the size of rosette you desire. Once this is complete, hold your rosette in place with one hand, and put hot glue on the back of one circle with the other hand. Adhere this circle to the center of the rosette.

Holding onto the rosette with both hands, flip it over and repeat the above with your remaining circle. Hold everything in place for a few seconds.

If these are for display, attach to a skewer and arrange in a jar.

Change up the sizes of your rosettes by cutting wider (or thinner) strips.

Craft Notes

Use your rosettes to create a banner or make an arrangement.
