GAUGE
Rounds 1–4 measures about 4"/10cm diameter. In double crochet, 12 sts and 7 rows = 4"/10cm. Gauge is not critical for this project.

SPECIAL TERM
FPdc: Front-post double crochet—Yarn over, insert hook from front to back and then to front again around post of stitch, yarn over and draw up loop, complete as dc.
 

NOTES
1. Blanket is worked in joined rounds. Only turn at the end of the first few rounds as instructed. FPdc stitches should always be worked on the RS of the piece.
2. To change color when joining a round; insert hook in first stitch of round, yarn over with new color and draw through all loops on hook. Fasten off old color.
