SPECIAL TERMS

sc2tog: Single crochet 2 together—Insert hook in next stitch, yarn over and pull up a loop, (2 loops on hook), insert hook in next stitch, yarn over and pull up a loop, yarn over and draw through all 3 loops on hook.

Work tightly so that stuffing will not show through stitches.

Round 3: [Sc2tog] 5 times—5 sts.
Rounds 4–8: Sc in each st around. Sl st in next st.
Fasten off leaving an 8"/20.5cm tail for sewing. Flatten top (first 3 rounds) of antenna. With a separate piece of yarn sew through the top of the antenna, through the flattened area, and out the bottom of the flattened area, working around top of the antenna to sew it flat.
 

FINISHING
With D, embroider a mouth on Row 5 of face. Sew antenna to top of head over Rounds 11 and 12. Sew nose to tip of face. Using yarn needle, weave in all ends.
