Round 3: Join second color with sc in any sc, ch 4, [tr4tog cluster (petal made), ch 4, sc in next sc, ch 4] 5 times, tr4tog cluster, ch 4; join with slip st in first sc—6 petals. Fasten off.


Step: 28

Arrange all flowers according to placement diagram and pin in place. Using yarn needle, draw 6"/15 cm tail of flower to wrong side of wrap at base of TP. Work a French knot to secure the yarn, pass the needle under knot attaching flower to wrap, do not pull yarn all the way through (leave a loop), pass needle through loop just made, pull tight, weave in end.

To join edges of flowers to wrap, work Flower Edging Round around each flower.

Flower Edging Round: Join first color with sc in same stitch of Round 2 as any sc of Round 3 (working over Round 3), ch 4, insert hook in top of next petal (tr4tog cluster) and through a st on the wrap below, yo, draw loop back through st on wrap and top of petal, yo and draw through both loops on hook (joining-sc worked), ch 4, *sc in same st on Round 2 as next sc of Round 3, ch 4, work joining-sc through top of next petal and wrap, ch 4; repeat from * around to first sc; join with slip st in first sc. Fasten off.

Tips

Try accenting the center of each flower with a bead - or make the background in black for a dramatic effect.
