KNITTED MEASUREMENTS
Bust: 36 (40, 44, 48)”
Length : 25 (26, 26 ½, 27)”
 

STITCHES USED
Stockinette stitch (St st): Knit on right side, purl on wrong side
Garter stitch (Garter st): Knit every row K1, p1 rib.
 

SPECIAL ABBREVIATIONS
kfb: knit in front and back of stitch (= 1 increase).
 

NOTE
The body and sleeves are worked separately from the bottom up. Then the pieces are joined at the armholes and the yoke is worked in one piece decreasing up to the neck.
 

BODY
With larger circular needle, cast on 216 (240, 264, 288) sts. Do not join.
 

Note: Body and selvedge edge are cast on at the same time. 6 sts at the beg and end of each row are worked in Garter st for the selvedge after the first 8 rows of border. Border:
 

Rows 1 and 2: Knit all sts.
Rows 3 and 4: Purl all sts.
Rows 5 and 6: Knit all sts.
Rows 7 and 8: Purl all sts.
Row 9: Knit all sts.
Row 10: K6 (selvedge), purl across to last 6 sts, k6 (selvedge) Rep last 2 rows until body measures 13” from beg, ending with a WS row. Next row: K6, *k1, p1; rep from * across to last 6 sts, k6.
Rep last row until body measures 16” from beg, ending with a WS row. Place sts on a holder.
 

SLEEVES (make 2)
With larger circular needle, cast on 90 (96, 102, 108) sts. Do not join.
 

Border:
Rows 1-8: Work Rows 1-8 of border same as for Body.
Row 9: Knit all sts.
Row 10: Purl all sts. Rep Rows 9 and 10 until Sleeve measures 8” from beg, ending with a WS row.
Next row: *K1, p1; rep from * across.
Rep last row until Sleeve measures 11 (12, 12 ½, 13)” from beg, ending with a WS row. Place sts on a holder.
 

Yoke
With RS facing, beg at right front of body, k6, (k1, p1) across 40 (46, 50, 56) sts, place next 22 (22, 26, 26) sts on holder for armhole, place first 11 (11, 13, 13) sts of the right sleeve on a holder for armhole, PM (place marker), (k1, p1) across 68 (74, 76, 82) sts, place last 11 (11, 13, 13) sts of right sleeve on a holder for armhole, PM, working on back of body, work (k1, p1) across 00 (92, 100, 102) sts, place next 22 (22, 26, 26) sts on a holder for armhole, place first 11 (11, 13, 13) sts of left sleeve on a holder for armhole, PM, (k1, p1) across 68 (74, 76, 82) sts, place last 11 (11, 13, 13) sts of left sleeve on a holder for armhole. working on left front of body, PM, work (k1, p1) across 40 (46, 50, 56) sts, k6 – 308 (344, 364, 400) sts. Do not join.
 

Row 1 (RS): K6, *(k1, p1) across to within 2 sts from first marker, k2tog, SM (slip marker), p2tog*; rep from * to * across all markers, (k1, p1) across to within last 6 sts, k6 – 300 (336, 356, 392) sts
Row 2: K6, (k1, p1) across to within last 6 sts, k6.
Rep Rows 1 and 2, 27 (30, 31, 34) more times – 84 (96, 108, 120) sts
 

Collar
Change to smaller needles.
Row 1: With RS facing, k2, PM, knit across to last 2 sts, PM, k2.
Row 2: K2, SM, knit across to last 2 sts, SM, k2.
Row 3: K2, SM, kfb, knit across to last 3 sts, kfb, SM, k2. |
Row 4: Rep Row 2.
Rep Rows 3 and 4 until collar measures 2 ½ (3, 3, 3 ½)”. With larger needles, bind off loosely.
 

FINISHING
Sew sleeve seams. Sew 3 buttons evenly spaced to left front with first one ¼” below neck edge and last one at beg of k1, p1 rib yoke. PM on right front edge opposite each button.
 

*With RS of right front facing, attach yarn at first marker and using crochet hook chain 11, then sl st to where yarn was joined forming a loop. Fasten off.* Rep from * to * at other 2 markers.
 

Using yarn needle, weave in loose ends.
