Material List
- Paintbrush – Detail and ½"
- Wooden Star Blank
- Fabric
- Sewing Needle
- Thread – Coordinating Color of Choice
- Buttons
- Scissors
- Low Heat Glue Gun
- Palette (Foil or Palette Paper)
- Craft Smart® Craft Paint – Cream and Brown
Project Instructions
Step 1 Mix a ruddy brown stain with Craft Smart® craft paints and water, then apply to each wooden star blank. Once desired color is achieved, wipe off excess with a rag. Let dry.
Step 2 Add stitch details around the perimeter of the star.
Step 3 Cut your fabric into 1" wide strips.
Step 4 Using a threaded needle in a running stitch gather your fabric until you reach your desired look.
Step 5 Take the gathered fabric and create a rosette.
Step 6 Glue the rosette to the center of the star on the side on which you painted stitches.
Step 7 Add buttons to the center of the rosette.
