Project Instructions
Assemble favor boxes. The number of boxes depends on desired tree height.
Tie boxes with an assortment of coordinating 3/8" ribbons. In some cases, you might want to hot glue the ribbon “tails” in place to achieve the perfect placement.
Arrange a selection of favor boxes around the base of the foam cone. Once you have achieved the desired placement, hot glue the boxes to the foam cone to create your bottom row.
Repeat step above, staggering the placement of the boxes on top of the existing bottom row. Because of the tapering shape of the cone, placement will not be perfect! Once you have achieved the desired placement, hot glue the boxes to the foam cone.
Continue this process until you reach the top of the cone and have achieved a tree-like shape.
For a taller / larger tree, add boxes to the original “bottom” row and build out from the base. To maintain a stable structure, you can glue additional favor boxes (without the ribbon) to the base of the foam cone. Continue to fill the hollow core of the tree with plain favor boxes with every additional layer that is added.
Once tree is completed, cut tinsel garland into shorter lengths (approximately 2-3"). Tuck pieces of tinsel into the open spaces between favor boxes. Once you have achieved the desired placement, hot glue the tinsel into place.
Now tuck one or two mini-ornaments into the remaining open spaces between favor boxes. Once you have achieved the desired placement, hot glue the mini-ornaments into place.
