Project Instructions

Select desired print. Place filigree charm on top of paper and trace around the edges with your pencil. Before cutting, fold paper in half and then cut around your tracing so that your paper shape becomes two-sided. Apply small amount of adhesive to the middle and close. Repeat above steps with filigree charms needed for earrings.

Make a hole in the top of each shape where the paper will meet up with the top of the charm. Open jump rings and insert the paper leaves along with the corresponding filigree metal charms. Set aside.

Take a small piece of wool roving. Dip in warm soapy water, and then squeeze out excess water. Roll for about 15 minutes between your hands to get the desired shape. Poke a hole in the top of the wool charms.

Thread the eye pin through the hole in the top of the wool. Use your wire curling tool to bend both sides of the pin up above the larger end of the wool charm. Wrap the straight end multiple times around the “neck” section of the opposite side. Once this is complete, thread the eye of the pin through the jump ring and add on one of the acrylic beads before closing the ring. Repeat for remaining charms.

To complete the earrings, attach fishhook ear wire to the top of your two matching charms (filigree charm and wool charm), linking them with additional jump rings.

Returning to the necklace, attach an additional jump ring to the top of your necklace charms (filigree charm and wool charm). Remove 2" of the chain and add that to the jump ring you just added. On the bottom of the chain add the remaining filigree charm. Attach bead and charm combination to the middle section of the chain. Attach one acrylic bead 3½" up from the center of your chain on each side by undoing the links and adding in the acrylic bead.

Modify the color of the paper to match your current color scheme.
