Christmas Button Cornucopia
You will find many uses for these beautiful paper cornucopias. Hang them on the tree, tie on to gift packaging or use for party favors. Embellished with glitter buttons and ribbons, they can be used year after year.

Trace pattern onto scrapbook paper.
To add dimension and sparkle, draw over pattern lines with glitter writer. Let dry. Cut out.
Roll the shape into a cone and glue in place.
Cut approx ½ yard length of 1 ½-inch ribbon.
Gather or fold to fit around top of cone. Glue in place.
Glue ¼-inch ribbon around center of wide ribbon.
Using 5/8-inch wide ribbon, tie a bow.
Glue to center of gathered or folded ribbon.
Glue a large and a medium button at center of bow.
For handle, cut 9-inch length of ¼-inch ribbon.
Glue ends to inside of cone.
Hide glued ends by gluing a small button over them.
Glue a glitter ball embellishment to the point of cone.

To gather satin ribbon, make running stitches down the center of ribbon. Pull the thread to gather. To pleat ribbon, use wired edge ribbon. Make accordion folds on ribbon. Tack folds in place with hot glue if desired. Refer to photo for placement and assembly.
