Project Instructions
Prepare cookie dough. Roll out 1/8 in. thick. Cut using Christmas tree cookie cutter. Bake and cool completely.
Prepare royal icing according to recipe. Directions for both thinned and full-strength icing can be found on the back of the box.Tint portions green*, brown and yellow; reserve some white.
To make tree with zigzag garlands: Use tip 3 and full-strength green icing to outline tree. Use tip 3 and full-strength brown icing to outline tree trunk. Use tip 3 and thinned green icing to fill in tree. Use tip 3 and thinned brown icing to fill in tree trunk. Let set overnight.
When cookie is set, use tip 2 and full-strength white icing to pipe zigzag garlands on tree. Attach red confetti sprinkles to beginning points of garlands with tip 2 and dots of white icing. Use tip 2 and yellow icing to pipe dot ornaments on tree.
Make tree with confetti garlands. Use tip 3 and full-strength green icing to outline tree. Use tip 3 and full-strength brown icing to outline tree trunk. Use tip 3 and thinned green icing to fill in tree. Use tip 3 and thinned brown icing to fill in tree trunk. Let set overnight.
When cookie is set, use tip 2 and green icing to attach red and white confetti sprinkle garlands.
*Combine Leaf Green and Lemon Yellow for green shown.
