Material List
- Styrofoam ® Cone
- Clay Mache
- Martha Stewart Crafts™ Craft Paint- Tartan Red, Wedding Cake, Yellow Gold, Beetle Black, Olive Green and Putty
- Paintbrush
Project Instructions
Knead a piece of clay mache in your hands until it's soft. Roll it out thin and start applying it to the cone, smoothing it out with your fingers and a little water as you go. Continue until the entire cone is covered.
When you get to the top, form the hat shape and define the face by creating a small nose. Let dry overnight.
Paint the Elf as desired, or as shown. For his face, add a small amount of Tartan Red to the Putty to make a flesh tone.
