Project Instructions

Step: 1

Paint the church Snow White. Shade the edges with Raw Sienna.


Step: 2

Cut a ½-inch x ¾-inch piece of compressed sponge. Expand the sponge in water, then squeeze out excess moisture.


Step: 3

Dip sponge in French Vanilla, then sponge bricks onto the church. Stagger bricks as shown in the photo.


Step: 4

When dry, shade bricks with Raw Sienna.


Step: 5

Paint the roof and perch Grey Sky. Shade edges and vertical slats with Slate Grey.


Step: 6

Paint the base Forest Green.


Step: 7

Paint the door Raw Sienna. Shade the door edges and shade to create wood planks with Dark Burnt Umber.


Step: 8

Paint the lower part of the steeple with Snow White, then shade with Raw Sienna. Paint the top part of the steeple with Raw Sienna. Shade the edges with Dark Burnt Umber. Drybrush Dark Burnt Umber area of steeple with Venetian


Step: 9

Gold Metallic.


Step: 10

Glue a mini wreath or coiled grapevine around the entry hole. Glue green moss and flowers on the wreath.


Step: 11

Refer to photo. Glue berries, dried flowers and silk flowers in the wreath. Set church on wreath to display.


Tips

Use a Loew-Cornell compressed sponge to sponge the ‘bricks’ on the birdhouse.
