- Bandana - Red and White
- Felt - Black
- Liquitex® Gesso Black
- Low Heat Glue Gun and Glue
- Balsa Wood
- Dowel Rod
- Wire Cutters
- Paper Towels
- Tea Bags
- Hot Water
Add tea bags to hot water. The more tea bags added, the darker the tea stain. Soak red/white striped bandana in water until dyed the desired color. Let dry.
Cut a large triangle and 3 - 6"x2" strips from Balsa wood. Paint black. Let dry.
Glue together the three strips of balsa, making a U shape for the base and sides of the stage. Glue triangle to top.
Cut a red stripe from edge of bandana. Then cut striped bandana in half. Reserve one half for the top.
Take the second half and cut into 1/2 again - making it 1/4 of the original size. Glue 1/4's to bottom of triange roof - just above where roof meets sides of stage. Gather while glueing.
From the reserved half, glue to top and sides of triangle, gathering and tack gluing where needed. You might need to sligtly fold and tack as you go to create slanted stripes on triangle roof. Trim slightly longer than wood so wood does not show.
Cut reserved red stripe in 1/2. Tie around sides to "gather" like curtains.
Using Toothpick and felt, remaining bandana or other scrap of fabric - create flag for top of tent by gluing triange to toothpick. Glue toothpick to top of stage and cover with black felt "cap".
