Project Instructions
Getting Started: Do not use unbaked clay on unprotected furniture or finished surfaces. Knead clay for 2 minutes. Bake on oven-proof glass or metal surface at 275ºF (130ºC) for 15 minutes per 6 mm (1/4”) of thickness. Do not use in microwave oven. Do not exceed the above temperatures or recommended baking time. Baking should be completed by an adult. Wash hands after use.
Remove cord from journal and place to the side. Glue scrapbook paper to the cover and trim away excess paper. Set to the side to dry.
Blend the Brown and Tan clays together and roll out a thin sheet on the pasta machine. Texture the sheet and use the clay blade to cut a strip to a desired width.
Gently press a keyhole embellishment onto the textured strip of clay. Use the craft knife to cut the clay out of the keyhole. Bake and let cool completely.
Use strong white craft glue to attach the strip of baked clay onto the front of the journal. When dry punch the holes for the cord back through where you glued on the paper and tie cord back into place.
