Cookies for Santa Tray
Serve up your favorite holiday cookies with this adorable holiday tray.

- DecoArt® Americana® Acrylic Paints – Snow (Titanium) White, Whitewash, Cadmium Yellow, Dark Chocolate, Lamp (Ebony) Black, Milk Chocolate, Camel. Primary Red, Festive Green, Pistachio Mint and Cocoa

Mark off 1" border around outside edge of tray center to form frame.
Paint a base coat on the outside of tray Pistachio Mint, 1" border Snow White and tray center Pistachio Mint.
Divide white border into two ½" frames and section off ½" squares. Paint every other square Lamp Black. Using liner and thinned Lamp Black, outline each white square.
Transfer pattern to tray center.
Base coat each sugar cookie Camel and gingerbread boy Cocoa. Shade cookie tips with Milk Chocolate. Paint candy hearts and nose Primary Red. Using liner and white, paint trim around cookie. Outline one side of cookie and paint mouth with thinned Lamp Black. Using stylus, dot Snow White in candy hearts and nose.
Paint cookie icing Cadmium Yellow, leaving cookie border. Using liner handle and Primary Red, make candy dots around icing edge. Dip dot Snow White to make highlight in each Primary Red candy.
Tint edge of bell cookie with Milk Chocolate. Paint icing Primary Red, leaving cookie border. Dip dot different sizes of Snow White on icing.
Paint cookie icing Festive Green, leaving cookie border. Paint small strokes for candy using Festive Green, Primary Red, and Cadmium Yellow. Dip dot Snow White on edge of each candy. Outline one side of cookie with Lamp Black.
Base coat the "Kiss" cookie, Cocoa; and candy center Milk Chocolate. Shade one side of candy "kiss" center with Dark Chocolate. Make crackle lines with liner brush and thinned Dark Chocolate. Make highlight on candy "kiss" using thinned Snow White and liner.
Base coat each piece of peppermint candy Whitewash. Transfer detail of candy pieces. Using Primary Red, paint sections of each piece. Using thinned Primary Red and liner, paint fine lines in Whitewash area of candy.
Trace lettering on tray, paint letters and make dots on letter ends with Primary Red. Dip dot Snow White in center of each Primary Red dot.
After spraying tray with several coats of Americana® Gloss Spray Sealer, accent peppermint candy with Ice Crystal Glamour Dust™ glitter paint.
