Throw measures 40” x 50”.

Join blocks into 4 rows with 5 blocks in each row as follows: With right sides of 2 blocks together, working through both thicknesses, join with sc in ch-3 space, sc in each dc across side to next ch-3 space, sc in next ch-3 space. Fasten off. Join remaining blocks together, then join rows together in same manner, working across all blocks of row before fastening off.

Border-Rnd 1: With right side facing, join with sc in ch-3 space in any corner, sc in each st around edge, working 3 sc in each of 4 corner ch-3 spaces, sc in each joined ch-3 space and sc in each block joining; join with slip st in first sc.

Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc in same st as joining, work rev sc in each remaining st around; join with slip st in first sc. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
Step: 20
Tassels (make 4): Wrap yarn around cardboard 20 times. Cut end of yarn. Insert a piece of yarn under wraps at top edge of cardboard and make a knot. Cut bottom edge of wraps and remove from cardboard. Wrap a piece of yarn around wrapped yarn about 1" from top edge. Tie a knot and secure ends. Trim bottom edge evenly. Attach 1 tassel to each corner of afghan.
