Chain 5

Join with sl st to form ring.

Round 1: Chain 2 ( = 1 hdc)

Hdc into ring 14 more times for a total of 15 hdc.

Join w sl st to top of beginning chain.

Round 2: *Ch 3, skip 2 stitches and sc in 3rd stitch.

repeat from * around until you have 4 loops, then

ch 3 once more and sl st in beginning ch 3 loop.

Round 3: Now you will begin first petal in this same ch 3 loop,

Ch1, 2 hdc, 5 dc, 2 hdc in same ch 3 loop. Petal made.

Continue making petals in following ch 3 loops until you

have 5 petals made, ending with last hdc.

Round 4: Working in back of flower, in between last and first petal,

place hook around post between the first and last petal and bring

up a loop to the back of the flower, then sc. Ch 5 and loop

around next post, 1 sc, then chain 5. Repeat until you have 5 ch 5 loops.

Sl st in first chain loop.

Round 5: Second row of petals:

In same ch 5 loop, work 2hdc, 6 dc, 2 hdc. Repeat in following ch 5 loops until all 5 petals in second row of petals are complete.

Round 6: Working in back of flower, in between last and first petal,

Place hook around post between the first and last petal and bring

up a loop to the back of the flower, then sc. Ch 6 and loop

around next post, 1 sc, then chain 6. Repeat until you have 5 ch 6 loops.

Sl st in first chain loop.

Round 7: Third row of petals:

In first ch 6 loop work 2hdc, 7 dc, 2 hdc. Repeat in following ch 6 loops until all 5 petals in third row are complete.

To finish, sl st at back of flower around post between first and last petal. Bind off and weave in ends.
