Project Instructions
Cut 4 pieces of 26 gauge wire to 5 feet in length and set aside. Using memory wire cutters, cut 4 pieces of bracelet memory wire with a 1/4 inch overlap.
Take one of the memory wire bracelets and with round nose pliers, make a loop at one end. String on 42 beads and make another loop. The beads should be loosely strung. Slide the beads to one side of the memory wire and fold a piece of tape over the empty side to keep the beads from sliding on the wire as you work.
Take one of the lengths of 26 gauge wire and leaving a one inch tail wrap it 3 times around the memory wire base next to the first two beads strung.
String 3 beads onto the wire. Leaving a space of about 1/8 of an inch, loop the beads and twist the wire 3 to 4 times. You can use either your fingers or a pair of pliers to twist the wire. Add 3 more beads to the wire and form the opposite leaf.
Pass the wire to the back of the piece, skip two beads and wrap the wire once around the memory wire base.
Repeat steps 4 to 5, gradually increasing the number of beads per leaf every three repetitions. You will have 3 sets of leaves with 3 beads, 3 sets of leaves with 4 beads, and 3 sets of leaves with five beads.
After completing the sets of leaves with 5 beads, make 2 sets of leaves with 6 beads.
Continue adding sets of leaves, only decreasing them every 3 repetitions. Decrease in the following order: 5 beads per leaf, 4 beads per leaf and 3 beads per leaf.
When you complete the last set of leaves, wrap the wire around the memory wire base three times. Trim and tuck in any protruding wires. If the tape hasn’t already fallen off, carefully remove it.
