Project Instructions
Trace spider pattern onto a piece of freezer paper. Leave at least a 2" margin around image. Cut out with a craft knife, leaving outside edges intact to create a stencil.
Use a chalk pencil to draw a spider web around neck of T-shirt.
Once the web pattern is established, position the spider stencil a few inches below the design, waxy side down. Iron over the stencil to melt wax and temporarily adhere in place.
Insert shirt board between layers of T-shirt.
Squeeze lines of Black Slick 3D Fashion Paint across stencil, about 1/8" apart. Using a squeegee or stiff cardstock and beginning at top of stencil, scrape paint down over stencil opening. Remove stencil and let dry.
Cover over the web lines with the Yellow Glow 3D Fashion Paint. While wet, lightly sprinkle some crystal glitter over the paint lines to give them sparkle.
Create the outline of the hourglass design on the spider’s back using the True Red Slick, then fill in. Carefully sprinkle some crystal glitter in design. Shake off excess when dry.
Squeeze two dots of Black Slick on face area then press a wiggle eye onto each dot of paint, making sure paint rises up around edges of eyes to seal them in place. Let dry.
Lightly draw legs with chalk pencil. Make squiggle lines with Black Slick for legs and feet. Sprinkle some black glitter onto legs while paint is still wet.
Squeeze a small amount of Fashion Glitter™ Bond onto foil and use a small paintbrush to brush adhesive onto spider’s head and body, avoiding the red hourglass design. Sprinkle some black glitter over adhesive on body. Let dry, then shake off excess glitter.
Use Yellow Glow to create a line extending from the center web down to the spider. Sprinkle a small amount of crystal glitter on top while wet. Let dry, then shake off excess glitter.
Repeat for spider’s mouth.
