Dainty Dotted Vase
- Vitrea 160 Glass Paints- #20 Veil White and #68 Dimensional Tube Outliner - Gold
- Small or medium-sized glass vase
- Round Brush #8 (Blend of Natural and Synthetic Is Best)
- Paper (or other) Palette
- Paper Towels and Cotton Swabs
- Rubbing Alcohol or Glass Cleaner
Clean the glass surface with rubbing alcohol or window cleaner to remove any grease or fingerprints.
Load the brush with a generous amount of #20 Veil White. Begin by painting circles around the top of the vase and work your way down. Simply paint very loose round shapes around the vase (see photo).
Allow the paint to dry to the touch for about 20 minutes.
With the Dimensional Outliner, draw loose outlines around each of the circles on the vase.
It is not necessary to bake the vase for permanence, if it is going to be hand washed only, not placed in a dishwasher. For baking: allow it to dry for 24 hours, place it in a cool oven on the middle oven rack, set the oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit. Once the temperature has been reached, set the timer for 40 minutes. After baking is complete, turn off the oven and open the oven door to allow the piece to cool down gradually. Once cool, remove the piece from the oven. Baking allows the piece to be placed in a dishwasher.
