Project Instructions
Step 1 Hold the large circle with long nose pliers and place on the steel block. Use the round side of your ball-peen hammer and hammer a texture onto your circle form. Make sure to hold your hammer towards the back of the handle to get the best control.
Repeat to make two pieces.
Step 2 (Optional) Dapped forms take on a bit of a concave look. To flatten your circle forms, hold each circle with your long nose pliers and hammer flat with the flat side of your ball peen hammer.
Step 3 Repeat Steps 1 and 2 using the textured hammer and small circle forms.
Step 4 Make small circles into concave shapes by placing each (one at a time), onto a wooden dapping block. Use the round part of ball peen hammer to shape circles into a slightly concave form.
Step 5 Lightly open a jump ring with chain nose pliers. Thread the jump ring through the large dapped circle and the small dapped circle. Next attach the wire fish hook.
Step 6 Close jump ring using the round and flat nose pliers. Move sets of pliers in opposite directions to secure closure.
Repeat Steps 5 and 6 to complete your second earring.
