Material List

  • Wood Letter – White of Choice
  • Moon Lights
  • Pigment Ink Pad ( Paint) – Black and Brown (or Colors of Choice)
  • Sandpaper
  • Burlap
  • Lace (or Ribbon of Choice)
  • AA Batteries
  • Scissors
  • Low Heat Glue Gun
  • Rag
 

Project Instructions

Step 1 Sand edges and sections of the wood letter surface.

Step 2 Ink edges with brown and black pigment ink pads. Use a rag to blend and smudge areas. Let dry.

Step 3 Uncoil moon lights and wrap around letter as desired.

Step 4 Cut a length of burlap or ribbon and lace for hanging. Fold the center of the burlap to form a V. Glue lace to burlap, and then hot glue the folded section to the back center of the letter.

Step 5 Hang letter from door or arch.

Tips

Make sure paint or ink is completely dry before adding lights and embellishments. Have a rag handy for blending and wiping areas where ink is not wanted. Refer to photo.
