• Q. You're already a successful celebrity wedding planner with a popular TV show. Why branch out into DIY bridal?

  David Tutera: I'm excited to create a line of wedding products that do not substitute affordability for elegance! Not every bride can afford to hire a personal wedding planner to design her big day, and so many brides enjoy a hands-on approach to their wedding preparations. We're thrilled to provide an alternative to those who still refuse to settle for anything but perfection on a day they have been dreaming of for years!

• Q. What would you tell a bride who is thinking about taking a more hands-on approach?

  David Tutera: Adding your own unique touch is a lot easier than you think! It's all about turning ordinary elements into something special. From a border trim to a shape or a monogram, you can use your creativity to enhance ANY wedding element.

• Q. Can you give us an example?

  David Tutera: A guest book is a wonderful way to record the names of the guests who shared your wedding day. To make the book an extension of the overall style of your wedding, you could add ribbons, feathers, pearls or rhinestones to the cover. Or you could enclose photos, quotes, or even questions inside the book for some added inspiration!

• Q. Speaking of wedding style: Once a girl finds THE dress, what are some key tips for completing her wedding day look?

  David Tutera: Accessories add lots of personality and style to your look. Special pieces like pearl headbands and crystal tiaras are perfect for your wedding day 'do. A gorgeous bird cage veil adds a vintage yet fashion-forward touch.

  Also, beautifully embellished hair combs are wonderful accents for brides, bridesmaids and flower girls alike. Since they are so easy to use, consider slipping one into your hair after the ceremony to quickly and easily change up your style for the reception!

• Q. What are some of your go-to embellishments for extending a bride's style and personality throughout the wedding?

  David Tutera: Rhinestone mesh really helps your wedding sparkle - it's like a flexible roll of bling! The rhinestones are an optical illusion created by a series of concave, multi-faceted metallic gems. It's easily cut to size and can add a luxurious touch to everything from the base of your cake to vases, candles and napkin rings.

  Adhesive rhinestones are a simple way to enhance just about anything with texture and sheen. Adding sparkle around something like a table number is the perfect way to stylishly draw attention to it, so guests can easily find their places.

• Q. Seating seems to be a big challenge for many brides. Do you have any other practical tips on how to conquer seating and table cards with style?

  David Tutera: It's as easy as 1, 2, 3! No, seriously, it's as easy as the number of tables you have. Seating arrangements are important to keep your wedding organized and ensure that guests are comfortable with their table mates. Table numbers need to be visually large enough for guests to be able to find them easily. Using decorative table numbers and card holders will help direct guests while adding a sophisticated touch to the tabletop design.

• Q. Say a bride wants to really make a memorable statement to those guests. What can she do that will make a big impact?

  David Tutera: Dessert is everyone's favorite course, so why not make it a celebration with a full dessert bar? Fill coordinating containers with a selection of candies and treats - all in your color scheme - with silver scoops for guests to help themselves. Or, consider offering a favor bar of treats that reflect your heritage, a special vacation destination, or even the classic childhood favorites of you and your groom!

• Q. Any last piece of advice for all the brides-to-be out there?
