Delightful Glitter Mini Canvases
Material List
- FolkArt® Acrylic Paint - Royal Gold and Sterling Silver
- Mod Podge® Gloss 8 oz., or Sparkle 8 oz.
- Canvases, 4” x 4” - 2
- Scrapbook Paper of Your Choice - Several Small Scraps To Fit Canvases
- Flat Paint Brush- 1”
- Craft Glue
- Embellishments Such as Small Words, Rhinestones, Buttons, Etc.
- Pencil
- Ruler
- Scissors
Project Instructions
Step: 1
Using the paint brush, basecoat one canvas with Royal Gold and the other will Silver Sterling (or the colors of your choice). Allow to dry.
Step: 2
Measure a 4” x 4” square out of two different pieces of scrapbook paper and cut to fit the canvas.
Step: 3
Cut out additional embellishments such as words and shapes at this time.
Step: 4
Decoupage the paper squares to the canvases. You can use Glitter, Gloss or any Mod Podge formula that you like. Allow to dry for 15 - 20 minutes.
Step: 5
Go back and add the paper embellishments to the canvases with Mod Podge. Paint several coats and allow to dry.
Step: 6
Add additional embellishments with craft glue - rhinestones, ribbon, buttons, etc. Apply at least two coats of Mod Podge.
Step: 7
Allow project to dry for at least 24 hours before hanging.
