Step: 1

Take pair of old jeans and from bottom hem of one of the legs, measure about 15” up and cut from jean. Next cut the waist off, just below the belt loops and stitching.

Step: 2

Using Aleene’s® Fabric Fusion™, glue the waistband onto the top edge (cut edge) of pant leg piece, lining up the belt loops to be on each end. Refer to photo. Cut about 8” of the 3/8” black grosgrain ribbon and fold in half to form a loop. Apply Fabric Fusion™ to the cut ends to bind loop together and glue loop inside of stocking between the waistband and the pant leg to make the hanging loop. Refer to photo.

Step: 3

Cut the belt buckle off of an old belt. Run the 7/8” black print grosgrain ribbon through the buckle and the loops on the waistband area. Overlap the ribbon on the back and glue the ribbon and belt buckle to the waistband with Fabric Fusion™. Use clothespins to hold in place until dry.

Step: 4

Place the boot pattern pieces on the appropriate colors of felt and cut out.

Step: 5

Layer the felt pieces (refer to photo) and sparingly use Fabric Fusion™ to attach. Note: Do not squeeze a large bead of glue or it may seep through the grey felt. Spread the glue on back of felt piece with the tip of the bottle.

Step: 6

Apply Fabric Fusion™ to the inside of the hem area of the pant leg from one side to the other. Apply Fabric Fusion™ to the top area of the boot on both sides and slip it inside of the pant leg. Press jean onto boot firmly with fingertip to make sure the glue adheres. Let dry.
