Dried Naturals Home Decor Cone
This pretty dried floral piece is a beautiful way to decorate your home. In shades of purple and gold, it can easily transition from season to season.
Material List
- Polystyrene Foam cone, 15"
- Dried Flowers, Small (2 Pkgs)
- Dried Willow
- Dried Eucalyptus
- Floral Pins
- Low Heat Glue Gun
- String
- Wire Cutters
Project Instructions
Glue one end of the string at the top of the cone and spiral it down the cone with about 2" between wrap lines and glue again at the bottom. This will create a spiral template to follow.
Glue one flower blossom to the top of the cone and follow the string around the cone to the bottom, gluing blossoms side by side.
Clip small bunches of baby's breath from the stems and glue a band of the baby's breath just below the flowers from top to bottom of cone.
Clip the thinner smaller branches from the eucalyptus stems. The larger branches do not bend around the cone as well or look as nice. Pin the branches to the cone, just below the baby's breath, slightly overlapping each piece as you go.
Clip smaller branches of willow and pin them (slightly overlapping) just below the eucalyptus.
To cover any pins that show, cut leaves fromthe stems and glue over pins.
Tips
Tuck in a length of ribbon around the cone for added interest.
